The boy has a name!

They surprised Meghan and Kody and brought the baby up to the ICU so that Meghan could get her first look at him. It was quite the undertaking and needless to say - quite the surprise.

They invited both sets of grandparents in to join the joyous occasion.

The doctor would only allow the baby to stay for 15 minutes. After they got him all "buttoned up" to transport him back down to the NICU, Kody and Meghan called the grandparents together and announced that he will be named "James Emerson Staples" and they will call him Emerson. James Emerson was Kody's grandfather's name and he went by J. Emerson. Emerson is also Kody's and his father's middle name. I think that I'll call him J-Em.
